Driver

Austin Hill is in his fourth season as driver of the No. 21 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Since joining Richard Childress Racing in 2022, Hill has captured 10 victories, including three consecutive wins in the season-opening race at the prestigious Daytona International Speedway – a feat putting the wheelman in history books with some of the sport’s Hall of Famers. Hill claimed Rookie of the Year honors in 2022 and the Xfinity Series regular season championship in 2023. On the heels of four wins last season, Hill earned his first career Championship 4 berth. The Georgia native spent five seasons competing in the NASCAR Truck Series, posting eight victories and taking the regular season championship in 2020. Away from the track, Hill enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Ashlyn, and three children, Lynnlee, Kensley, and Barrett.

Crew Chief

Chad Haney is the crew chief of the No. 21 Chevrolet team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, working alongside Austin Hill for the first time. With more than 30 years of motorsports experience, Haney most recently served as the head mechanic for Richard Childress Racing’s Xfinity Series program where he managed the build and development of the storied organization’s cars to ensure parity among RCR and their alliance partners. The veteran racer has earned victories as a car chief and mechanic at the highest levels, including the Daytona 500 with driver Kurt Busch and the Coca-Cola 600 with driver Kevin Harvick. Haney was also a part of the team that returned the famous No. 3 to the Cup Series in 2014 with driver Austin Dillon. A racer himself, Haney spent several years honing his skills as a dirt late model racer before giving up the steering wheel for a wrench.
